5 beautiful minutes in a very worth seeing historic old town: Do you know ALSFELD in GERMANY?
With my new video, I would like to take you on another trip to a wonderful old town in Germany. Those of you who have already followed my work a little will know that I am a fan of old towns as well as modern big cities. And maybe my new video can convey the fascination I feel at such a sight.
Alsfeld is a town in Germany in the federal state of Hessen. The impressive half-timbered backdrop and winding streets create a medieval and fairytale flair that attracts people from far and wide. The highlight is undoubtedly Alsfeld’s world-famous town hall, one of the most important half-timbered town halls in Germany.
The town was founded between 1180 and 1190, and its favourable location on the route from Frankfurt to Leipzig made Alsfeld an important market town and mint. First mentioned in documents in 1069 and 1076, Alsfeld received its town charter in 1222. So in 2022 there will be an anniversary to celebrate: 800 years of town rights.
In 1975 Alsfeld received an award for the successful renovation and preservation of its historic buildings and became a European model town. The town is also a state-recognised health resort.

Mit meinem neuen Video möchte ich euch noch einmal auf eine Reise in eine wundervolle Altstadt in Deutschland mitnehmen. Wer meine Arbeit bereits ein wenig verfolgt hat, der weiß, dass ich neben modern Großstädten auch Altstädte sehr mag. Und vielleicht kann ich mein neues Video die Faszination, die ich bei einem solchen Anblick empfinde, übermitteln.
Alsfeld ist eine in Stadt Deutschland im Bundesland Hessen. Die beeindruckende Fachwerkkulisse und die verwinkelten Gassen sorgen für ein mittelalterliches und märchenhaftes Flair, das Menschen von weit her anzieht. Das Highlight ist zweifellos das weltbekannte Alsfelder Rathaus, eines der bedeutendsten deutschen Fachwerk-Rathäuser.
Die Stadt entstand in den Jahren 1180 bis 1190. Durch die günstige Lage auf dem Weg von Frankfurt nach Leipzig wurde Alsfeld bedeutender Markt- und Münzort. Erstmals 1069 und 1076 urkundlich genannt, erhielt Alsfeld im Jahr 1222 die Stadtrechte. Im Jahr 2022 gibt es also ein Jubiläum zu feiern: 800 Jahre Stadtrechte.
1975 bekam Alsfeld eine Auszeichnung für die gelungene Renovierung und Erhaltung seiner historischen Gebäude und wurde europäische Modellstadt. Die Stadt ist darüber hinaus ein staatlich anerkannter Erholungsort.
