Discover a pearl of the Balkans: TIRANA, the capital of ALBANIA
Tirana is the capital of Albania and the political, economic and cultural centre of the country. Among other things, the city is known for its colourful buildings from various eras and not only has a beautiful city centre, but also an exciting history. Tirana is one of the cities with the most cafés in Europe, very green with numerous parks, beautifully situated on Mount Dajti (1,611 m) and is an exciting discovery. For me, Tirana is definitely worth a visit.
The centre of the city is Skanderbeg Square. It is surrounded by many public buildings, the National Historical Museum, the opera, which is located in the Palace of Culture, and the Et’hem Bey Mosque. The city’s landmark is also located here: the Skanderbeg Monument, dedicated to the Albanian national hero Skanderbeg. The airport, located about 17 kilometres from the city centre, translates as „Mother Theresa“.
I was thrilled by the lively, friendly and relaxed atmosphere of the city and felt completely at ease – my choice of music should reflect exactly this pleasant mood. Unfortunately, I can’t show you everything in my video, as some sights, such as the pyramid, were being modernised at the time of my visit and the construction work was still in full swing. But I have packed so many views into my video that there is a lot to discover. Already during my visit to Tirana and also now while editing my video, I noticed how beautifully green the city is. So, enjoy watching an let yourself be surprised.
Tirana ist die sehr sehenswerte Hauptstadt Albaniens und ist das politische, wirtschaftliche und kulturelle Zentrum des Landes. Die Stadt ist unter anderem für ihre farbenfrohen Bauwerke aus verschiedensten Epochen bekannt und hat nicht nur eine schöne Innenstadt, sondern auch eine spannende Geschichte. Tirana ist eine der Städte mit den meisten Cafés in Europa, sehr grün mit zahlreichen Parks, wunderschön gelegen am Berg Dajti (1.611 m) und eine spannende Entdeckung. Für mich ist Tirana auf jeden Fall eine Reise wert.
Den Mittelpunkt der Stadt bildet der Skanderbeg-Platz. Er ist unter anderem umgeben von vielen öffentlichen Gebäuden, vom Historischen Nationalmuseum, von der Oper, die sich im Kulturpalast befindet, und der Et’hem-Bey-Moschee. Das Wahrzeichen der Stadt befindet sich ebenfalls hier: das Skanderbeg-Denkmal, das dem albanischen Nationalhelden Skanderbeg gewidmet ist. Der etwa 17 Kilometer vom Stadtzentrum entfernt gelegene Flughafen trägt übersetzt den Namen „Mutter Theresa“.
Ich war von der lebendigen, freundlichen und entspannten Atmosphäre der Stadt begeistert und habe mich rundum wohl gefühlt – meine Musikauswahl soll genau diese angenehme Stimmung widerspiegeln. Ich kann Dir in meinem Video leider nicht alles zeigen, da einige Sehenswürdigkeiten wie z.B. die Pyramide zum Zeitpunkt meines Besuches gerade modernisiert wurden und die Bauarbeiten noch in vollem Gange waren. Aber ich habe so viele Ansichten in mein Video gepackt, dass es eine Menge zu entdecken gibt. Schon bei meinem Besuch in Tirana und auch jetzt während der Bearbeitung meines Videos ist mir aufgefallen, wie wunderschön grün die Stadt ist. Also, lass Dich überraschen.
