FRANKFURT FROM ABOVE (even from above the clouds) – AMAZING DRONE FOOTAGE!
Have you ever seen Frankfurt am Main like this? If not, then you feel like I did. To see the skyline rising through the clouds from above, the play of colours at sunrise and sunset, the many lights at night, it fascinates me again and again.
For a long time I had the wish to create a video from material that I had not filmed myself and to try out what it is like to take over the impressions and perspectives of someone else – in order to create my own personal picture. And here I finally had the opportunity to do this.
The drone shots were taken in 2018 and 2019 by Daniel Haussmann – he is a professional photographer, drone pilot and filmmaker from the Rhine-Main area.
Daniel gave me a completely free hand, and I was able to design the video the way I wanted it: Music selection, editing, post-production, simply everything. Of course, as with all my videos, I tried to fuse the images and the music in such a way that they form a unity and convey the emotions I felt while watching. Let yourself be surprised and enjoy fascinating impressions of Frankfurt am Main.

Hast Du Frankfurt am Main schon einmal so gesehen? Wenn nein, dann geht es Dir wie mir, als ich die Aufnahmen das erste Mal sah. Wie die Wolken die Skyline umhüllen, dabei einzelne Gebäude die Wolkendecke durchbrechen, die stimmungsvollen Farbenspiele im Sonnenaufgang und Sonnenuntergang und die vielen vielen Lichter bei Nacht, all das fasziniert mich immer wieder auf’s Neue.
Ich hatte schon lange den Wunsch, einmal ein Video aus Material zu erstellen, das ich nicht selbst gefilmt habe, und einfach einmal auszuprobieren, wie es ist, die Eindrücke und Perspektiven eines anderen zu übernehmen – um daraus dann mein ganz eigenes persönliches Bild zu kreieren. Und hier hatte ich endlich die Gelegenheit dazu.
Die Aufnahmen stammen aus den Jahren 2018 und 2019 und sind von Daniel Haussmann – er ist ein professioneller Fotograf, Drohnenpilot und Filmemacher aus dem Rhein-Main-Gebiet.
Daniel ließ mir völlig freie Hand, und ich konnte das Video so gestalten, wie ich es wollte: Musikauswahl, Schnitt, Nachbearbeitung, einfach alles. Dabei habe ich natürlich versucht, wie bei all meinen Videos, die Bilder und die Musik so miteinander zu verschmelzen, dass sie eine Einheit bilden und die Emotionen transportieren, die ich beim Betrachten empfunden habe. Lass Dich überraschen und genieße faszinierende Eindrücke von Frankfurt am Main.
