Lucca is one of the nicest and most beautiful towns in Tuscany. It’s long history goes back to Etruscan and Ancient Roman times, and still you can find pieces of ancient architecture. Because the fact that historic centre is surrounded by city walls, Lucca has managed to preserve its heritage in a quite good shape.
All over this medieval city you’ll find monuments representing all the various historical era Lucca has lived through. Walking around Lucca is like traveling back in time. You really have to experience it.
