TOP 1: ONE DAY IN FRANKFURT AM MAIN (GERMANY) 1 🇩🇪

Welcome to the most international city in Germany, the largest financial centre on the continent, the historical city of coronations, the city of Goethe and the Frankfurt School: Frankfurt am Main, the metropolis in miniature, my adopted city. I have lived here since 1998 and am still in love with the city. Follow me on my time-lapse tour through the skyline, the historic old town, the banks of the Main, and many other amazing places.

TOP 2: ONE DAY IN VALLETTA (MALTA) 🇲🇹

Valletta, the capital of the Republic of Malta, is one of my favourite cities in Europe. The entire city was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980 and was elected for the European Capital of Culture in 2018. Valletta is a fascinating destination with many highlights and easy to explore on foot in just one day. I started my camera tour from the Triton Fountain, and then continued through the city gate into the historic old town. The city is elegant and impressive at the same time – and with the editing of my shots and especially the music, I tried to express these feelings.

TOP 3: ONE DAY IN WROCLAW (POLAND) 🇵🇱

When you think about travel destinations in Poland, this city should be on your radar: Wrocław. Despite the fact that Wrocław is the largest city in western Poland, its unique charm, magnificent architecture and vibrant colours make it one of Poland’s prettiest destinations. One of Wrocław’s most popular and memorable attractions is not a cathedral, not a castle or monument, but a legion of little people: Over 300 dwarf statues, they are dotted around the city. Some of them are visible at the end of my video.

TOP 4: ONE DAY IN TAORMINA (ITALY) 🇮🇹

Taormina is a very worth seeing city, situated on a hill, which offers many historical monuments as well as a magnificent view of the Ionian Sea and Mount Etna. In the old town you can find most of the sights and the most beautiful viewpoints along Corso Umberto. Due to the picturesque landscape, mild climate and numerous historical sights, the city developed into one of the most important tourist centers in Sicily in the 19th and 20th centuries.

I only had about half a day to capture with my camera the many sights and the atmosphere that was unique to me. Among other things, I was thrilled by the great views, the old town and the many palaces, decorated with Arabic style elements. The visit to the Greek theater is the highlight of my video. It is the second largest ancient theater in Sicily, built in the 3rd century BC.

Taormina was defined by Goethe „The greatest masterpiece of art and nature“, and the historical French travel writer Guy de Maupassant called the city a „painting in which we find everything that seems to exist on earth to seduce the eyes, mind and imagination“. But just see for yourself – in my video.

TOP 5: ONE DAY IN FRANKFURT AM MAIN (GERMANY) 2 🇩🇪

Again, for the second time, welcome to Frankfurt am Main, the metropolis in miniature, the city I’ve been living since 1998 and still being in love with. In my second time-lapse tour you’ll find many more places and sites I personally like very much apart of those shown in my first video. Besides of the probably most famous views around the Main river bank and the skyline, we continue to the „Frankfurter Welle“; discover the area around the „Messeturm“ and make some detours to Bockenheim, Alt-Sachsenhausen up to the central train station visiting many more on the route.

The time I was recording shots for this video was from March till August 2020. After many hours of editing work I was able to create this video which combines different means of camera positions such as drone-footage from the air and ground shots including views form the car and boat crossing the river Main.

TOP 6: ONE DAY IN MOSTAR (BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA) 🇧🇦

Mostar, picturesquely situated in the valley of the Neretva River, is the fifth largest city in Bosnia-Herzegovina with a population of just over 113,000 and historically the capital of Herzegovina. The city’s most famous landmark is the Old Bridge, the „Stari Most“, historically considered a symbol of the union between Christianity and Islam. Built in 1566, the bridge was destroyed in the Bosnian war in 1993 and rebuilt after the war. It is considered a protected cultural asset and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005 as a symbol of reconciliation and international and intercultural cooperation. But Mostar has much much more to offer, and as always I tried to capture all my impressions with my camera. The city impressed me so much that I dedicated my longest video to it so far.

TOP 7: ONE DAY IN LUCCA 🇮🇹

Lucca is one of the nicest and most beautiful towns in Tuscany. It’s long history goes back to Etruscan and Ancient Roman times, and still you can find pieces of ancient architecture. Because the fact that historic centre is surrounded by city walls, Lucca has managed to preserve its heritage in a quite good shape. All over this medieval city you’ll find monuments representing all the various historical era Lucca has lived through. Walking around Lucca is like traveling back in time. You really have to experience it.

TOP 8: ONE DAY IN TORUŃ (POLAND) 🇵🇱

Welcome to Toruń, one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Poland. Toruń was founded in the 13th century on the Wisła (Vistula) and is located about 200km west of the Polish capital Warsaw. The Gothic old town has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. Worth a visit, the city is full of sights – the historic buildings sustained no damage during World War Two. I had only one day in the city, but I used the time to capture my impressions. Follow me on a time-lapse walk through an impressive city.

Top 9: ONE DAY IN ŁÓDŹ (POLAND) 🇵🇱

Łódź, located in the centre of Poland and about 130 km southwest of the capital Warsaw, is not only the third largest city in the country with about 700,000 inhabitants, but also a relevant and interesting place culturally as well as historically, with many different facets. A former capital of the textile industry with many warehouses, Łódź is now a pearl of industrial architecture and the hipster scene.

Centrally located Piotrkowska Street stretches for about 4.9 km between Freedom Square and Independence Square. This impressive street with beautifully renovated historical buildings is the heart of Lodz, this is where you will find most of the shops, restaurants and social life. Every year in May, the big city festival takes place there. Classical and modern architecture lovers will find at almost every corner some interesting photo motifs and much more. There is also much to discover in the famous Manufaktura. Once an important and large factory site of the essential textile industry in the former Lodz, actually Manufaktura has been transformed into a modern and diverse shopping centre with many leisure facilities. You will also find many beautiful green corners and parks which pleasantly round off the city’s image.

Seems to me Łódź is still very underrated as many visitors to Poland still don’t choose it as a travel destination. Wrong, in my opinion. I was very pleasantly surprised visiting Łódź and, as always, tried to capture my impressions with my camera.

TOP 10: ONE DAY IN ROTHENBURG OB DER TAUBER (GERMANY) 🇩🇪

Take this video trip to a thousand years of history and follow me on my trip around Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Feel how this town brings the Middle Ages and the Renaissance back to life. Rothenburg ob der Tauber is a town in the district of Ansbach of Mittelfranken (Middle Franconia), the Franconia region of Bavaria, Germany. It is well known for its well-preserved medieval old town, a destination for tourists from around the world. It is part of the popular Romantic Road through southern Germany.

TOP 11: ONE DAY IN FRANKFURT (GERMANY) 🇩🇪

This is one of my very first videos, that time, I was with very strong colour filters, so I decided to make a remake of it (ONE DAY IN FRANKFURT AM MAIN (GERMANY), which was even more successful. Here is the first original version, when I was a beginner in video creating.

TOP 12: ONE DAY IN STRASBOURG (FRANCE) 🇫🇷

I had one day to discover Strasbourg, the capital and largest city of the Grand Est region of France and is the official seat of the European Parliament. Located close to the border with Germany in the historic region of Alsace, it is the capital of the Bas-Rhin department. The old town of Strasbourg, surrounding the Cathedral of Our Lady, is the city centre and a beautiful historical place to be. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

TOP 13: ONE DAY IN WARSAW (POLAND) 1 🇵🇱

Warsaw is the capital of Poland and, with around 1.8 million inhabitants and an area of 500 square kilometres, the largest and most populous metropolis in the country. The city's architecture is diverse and offers a lot of variety, from Gothic churches, classicist palaces, a beautiful old town and impressive parks to modern skyscrapers.

The video is a remake of my "One Day in Warsaw 2018" video that I published here on Youtube on 24/08/2018. It was my very first "One Day In" video, and the conditions were less than ideal. When I shot it back then, the weather was bad, I had a little experience only with filming, and I had used such strong colour filters, so the whole thing looks very unnatural to me from today's perspective. But it was a very good start for me: being creative, combining the recordings with music and creating a video out of it gave me so much fun and joy that I continued to gain more and more experience and knowledge about filming and creating videos. And so a whole "One Day In" video series has been created to date.

I always thought about creating a new "One Day in Warsaw" video when I had gained enough new experience and had developed further. And now it was finally time. I worked on the remake for about 2 years and am very proud to be able to show it to you now. This time there are two parts, because I like the old town of Warsaw so much that I dedicated a separate video to it in the second part.

If you know my videos, you might notice that the music title I used for "One Day in Warsaw, Part 1" is the same as the one I used for "One Day in Frankfurt, Part 1", just edited a little differently. I want to express that I feel very connected to Warsaw as a Frankfurter, many people live there who are very important to me. And I also want to say "thank you" in my own way. Because my experiences with filming in Warsaw at that time motivated me, as written above, to develop filming and creating videos further, and as a result for example my video "One Day in Frankfurt Part 1" was created, which is my most successful video to date, with around one million viewers. And I think that the music again fits the recordings very well.

TOP 14: ONE DAY IN SYRACUSE (ITALY) 🇮🇹

Known as the "Pearl of the Greeks", Syracuse (Italian: Siracusa) lies on the east coast of Sicily and, as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, fascinates with its cultural diversity from 2,700 years of history. In antiquity, Syracuse was one of the most powerful and glamorous metropolises in the Mediterranean world; today, with 123,000 inhabitants, it is a lively provincial city.

The fantastic location in the south-east of Sicily with the offshore island of Ortygia and the numerous sights and ancient excavations from thousands of years of history make Syracuse a special Sicilian attraction. The most important sights are located on Ortygia and form a picturesque ambience amidst Greek, Roman and Baroque architecture - a very worth seeing and unique mixture of different eras.

In my video, I have focused on the urban area and in particular on the wonderful old town centre on the island of Ortygia. Those who know me and my videos know that I am very enthusiastic about old towns. And here, too, I was very fascinated by the old town and the atmosphere. I am happy if I can transfer a little of this fascination and enthusiasm to you when you watch my video.

TOP 15: ONE DAY IN LIMBURG AN DER LAHN (GERMANY) 🇩🇪

With this video I would like to introduce the city where I was born: Limburg an der Lahn (Limburg on the river Lahn).

Limburg an der Lahn is a city full of history - its beginnings go back to the early Middle Ages: "Lintpurc" was first mentioned in a document in year 910. The construction of the church, which became Limburg's Cathedral, probably began shortly after the document was issued. Together with foundation of the abbey, Limburg gained in importance which brought prosperity and prestige. Because of its very well-preserved townscape, the entire city centre is a listed building.

For me, Limburg an der Lahn is one of the most beautiful cities in Hessen. My personal highlights are of course the old town with its medieval charm and cathedral which I also show from inside. Also outside the old town I have been able to visit some very beautiful places in Limburg. By the way: At the very end past the credits you can find a little bonus: The House of 7 Vices, probably the most famous half-timbered house in Limburg. Let me surprise you 😉
